Bio

The Royal Academy of Nuts + Bolts is the work of Sean Deyoe
Deyoe's cross-disciplinary creative practice includes design, video, photography, writing, music, performance, tourism, recreation, and conviviality. He received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from CalArts. Since 2005, he has been one of the organizers of Betalevel, a subterranean art/event space. From 2009 through June 2019, he co-led a weekly exploratory bike ride called The Passage of a Few People Through a Rather Brief Moment in Time. Recently, he co-founded the Spatial Awareness Network, an organization supporting the creative and critical exploration of space and place in Greater Los Angeles.
